CABLE ATIRES HUG KONG OFFICE

We have various cable addresses registered prior to

July 1st 1914, one of which is AEXCO.

We have now ope ed an office in Hong Kong, and we

would particularly wish to apply this same cable address to that

office.

The cable address A EXCO is known to all Commercial

and Ba king Housee, and although technically to have this address

in Hong Kong at the present time would be against the regulations

we did not suppose you would consider it as being against the

spirit of the law covering the registration of the various

addresses.

Our manager in Hong Kong had ecme conversation with

Captain Cassel who is on the Governor General's staff and

incidentally mentioned the refusal of the Cable Company to

register our cable address at that point.
